Kayena Vacha shloka
The Kayena Vacha shloka states that “most of us go through various activities of life. In our own incomprehension, we acquire ourselves, the possession of the activities and when the consequences are conflicting to our expectations, we become dejected or sad.
On the route to spirituality, one of the most powerful ways is to perform any action as an agent. If there exists an attitude that I need to perform an action as it is my responsibility and I will not worry about the consequences.
As an agent of the country, a soldier kills on the battleground and he won’t be given any punishment for that. In the same way, there will be no impact if we perform our acts as an agent of the Supreme. Incidentally, every action which is performed with a feeling of ownership has an impact which is a characteristic of karma which strong potential for rebirth because of that act.
Any action performed with a true feeling that it is my responsibility to serve the humanity or this action is for a greater cause beyond my selfishness, will not have any impact that is characteristic to karma.” The Kayena Vacha bhajan which we discuss here is devoted to Shri Vishnu.
