Karna is one of the important character in Mahabharata, Karna initially called as ‘Vasusena’. The epic explains him as a ruler of Anga at present is named as Bhagalpur and Munger. His courageous things are derived in Mahabharata, he is the only warrior trusted to beat Arjuna in the fight. Karna’s Digvijaya Yatra in which he defeat all the kings in all directions of the world was contributed in inaugurate Duryodhana as the ruler of the world, and to perform Vaishnava sacrifice.
Karna – Son of Sun God

Karna was the only son of Kunti from the the Sun God, the story is about Karna born to Kunti before her wedding. He was very close friend of Duryodhana and fought for against the Pandavas in Kurukshetra. It is trusted that he founded city of Karnal located in Haryana. He is often reproduced as courage, sacrifice and charity.
History of Karna – His Birth History
The Princess of Kunti Kingdom,as a young women Kunti she had been afford a blessing by sage Durvasa, able to pray to any godesses to give her a child anxious to test the power at the time she is still unmarried. She began to call the solar godhead surya and was given a son Karna wearing Kavacha and couple of earrings.
However Kunti was afraid about the social dishonour and decided to reject the child, in a basket she put Karna and placed in the Ganges river and the basket was seen by Adhiratha he was charioteer of King Dhritarashtra of Hastinapur, Adhiratha and his wife brought up the child as their own son and he named as Vasusena.And also known as Radheya.
The name he got famous in this epic was “Karna”, that means the removal of his own skin. He is also having some other names.

Karna And Dronacharya
Karna had interest in the art of fighting so that he approached Dronacharya, he is habitual teacher of taught for Kuru princes but he is not willing to accept as a student.
Because of that he was not a Kshatriya, Dronacharya tells to Adhirath to call him as Karna according to his boldness. After being rejected by Drona, Karna wanted to grasp the advanced skill of archery and he assured to learn from “Parashurama”, he is the Guru of Dronacharya.
Karna And Parshuram
He appeared as a Brahmin before him, as Parashurama only taught to Brahims. Parashurama accepted Karna and instructed him such a tip and he finalized that Karna to be same as himself in the art of fighting and archery. One day so as to near to finish his training Karna provide Parashurama his lap so mean while he could rest his head and take the feel, while he is asleep a bee bite his thigh without being affected by it and he don’t want to disturb Parashurama. He was with blood flow through his wound, Parashurama woke up at a sudden and conclude that Karna was not a Brahmin.
Why Parshuram Cursed Karna
Parashurama was very angry on Karna of theift his knowledge and put a curse on Karna that he would forgot all the art that he learned and when he required to display on the Brahmand astra,after being begged Parashurama melted and changed his curse and telling that he would losses his art when he is needed. Mostly when he had a fight with the equal warrior. Pleasing Karna’s attentiveness, he presented him his personal heavenly weapon Bhargavastra that which no one else can own it.
Regret over the curse made in irritation and want to terminate the curse, Parashurama presented him his personal Vijaya bow to be every time successful in the battle. To exhibit the skills of Kuru princes, Dronacharya organize a friendly championship.
Karna And Pandavas
Arjuna Dronacharya student, the third brother of Pandavas he was especially talented in an archery.
Karna came to this championship, unwelcome and for Arjuna’s treat and challenged him to fight face to face, Kripacharya was not willing to fight with Karna asking for the dynasty and the kingdom, but he was insulted very badly by the comparison done by Bhima was digress dog because of his mixed caste and parentage, all these happening makes conflicts between Karna and Pandavas.
Karna And Duryodhana Friendship
Duryodhana is the firstborn of the one hundred sons of Dhritarashtra. He knew that his cousins are best at the fight and archery, he immediately announced Karna throne as a king to Anga. Hence he is perfect suitable to fight in battle with Arjun.
Karna married a girl belongs to suta caste called Vrushali, as per the wish of his father Adhirath. He had ten sons Vrishasena, Sudama, Vrishaketu, Chitrasena, Satyasena, Sushena, Shatrunjaya, Dvipata, Banasena, eight of them took a part in Kurukshetra war, Sudama was killed by Arjuna at Draupadi’s swayamvara when he was nine years old, Prasena was killed by Satyaki, Shatrunjaya, Vrishasena and Dvipata were killed Arjuna. Bhima killed Banasena, Nakula killed Chitrasena, Satyasena, and Sushena.Only one son who had survived after the war was Vrishaketu, he is the one under the guardianship for Arjuna for many battles and introduction of Ashvamedha Yagna. Arjuna’s son Babruvahana killed Vrishaketu during the Ashavamedha Yagna.
