- DMK leader Stalin is using Kamal for his gains, Raja says
- Meanwhile, Kamal fans request him to enter politics
TRICHY: Actor Kamal Haasan has hurt the sentiments of Hindus and is not fit to enter politics, said BJP national secretary H Raja on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters in Pudukkottai, Raja said Kamal should prove to the people in the state that he is not against the Hindu religion.
The BJP leader said Kamal lacked courage that could be seen in actors like Vijay and Ajith Kumar, who are younger to him.
“It is ironical that the actor who proclaims to be against corruption was silent on corruption during the DMK rule. DMK working president M K Stalin is using Kamal for his gains,” said Raja.Meanwhile, around 100 fans of the actor in Trichy district sent e-posts to him requesting him to enter politics.
Members of the Kamal Nalpani Mandram gathered at the head post office in the city. Each of them sent letters to the actor.
His fans said the time has come for Kamal to join politics and to lead the state.
“The actor has not indicated that he will join politics. But we are urging him to take a decision because it’s the right time to do so,” said his fan N Sarathy of Srirangam.
