Bodh Gaya History And It’s Importance In Buddhism

Bodh gaya is one of the faithful place for Buddhist in India,it is in the state of Bihar. It is the place where the prince Siddhartha got knowledge under the tree known as “Bhodi Tree”.It was 2600 years ago when he had acquired enlightenment.

Lord Buddha - Bodh GayaGautama Buddha while doing meditation on the bank of river phalgu, under the tree he suddenly got enlightenment. Buddha was born in 563 BC born on Baisakhi purnima. He rejected his family at the age of 29 in 534 BC.

He started his journey and focus on mind for a period of time and searching for the truth,he himself feel ashamed and relizes after six years at Bodh gaya. He find Noble Eightfold path and practices it then he achieved enlightenment,by that he is free from desire, dislike and misunderstanding.

This can be also called  as “right aspiration” or “right thought”,for everything we have to  make a right thought without doing any harmfull to others.This is called Right to resolve.

3.Right Speech

This explains not to talk unnecessary topics which are not useful to us,speak only truth and useful matters. Buddhist thus taught not to lying.

4.Right action

Right action is also explains like right speech,but this right action describes about physically based actions. In terms of avoiding killing, avoiding stealing and avoid sexual crimes.

5.Right livelihood

Right livelihood described in previous Buddhist teachings, this explains about not to be begging and not to accept anything for which is necessary.

6.Right effort

Buddhist thoughts can be in sensual thoughts which can make to put positive effort, it can be helps in unhealthy situations that are having doubts in the life Restlessness sleepy.

7.Right mindfulness

Here they assumes body as body ,mental states as mental states, and feelings as feelings and put them aside their sorrows.

8.Right samadhi

It is a common thing in our Indian culture, and also be called as Concentration. It is thing to put all our focus on one thing constantly our heart and mind should be very pure and clear this will helps to do meditation or dhyana, doing dhyana it will reduces sadness and our state of mind will be active.

Mahabodhi temple is located 110 kms distance from Patna,in side this temple the holy tree is placed.
