NEW DELHI: Looks like Facebook is all geared up to enter a new market – video streaming. The social media giant, which owns WhatsApp, Oculus and is already testing drones, is now said to bring TV episodes in mid-August.
According to a Bloomberg, Mark Zuckerberg-led company is already asking its video partners to submit their first episodes of spotlight shows. Some of the media partners are said to have already completed short-form videos. Facebook is also said to be funding full-fledged TV-style shows, which could arrive later on the website. There could also be some ‘original programmes’ that may be showed in a new video feed separate from the traditional Facebook News Feed section.
