The eagerly awaited announcement on the Nandyal By-Election schedule came out just a while ago.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that the by-election will take place on August 23, and the counting of votes will happen and the result will come out on 28th of the same month.

Acceptance of Nominations will begin from July 29, and the last date for filing nominations is 5th August. The last date for Nomination Withdrawal is August 9.

Nandyal by-election has become a prestigious contention for both the ruling TDP and main opposition YSRC Party. A win in Nandyala gives an indication to people that the momentum is on the side of the winning party so both the parties are reportedly putting in full efforts to win this seat in Kurnool district.

The election in Nandyal has become necessary due to the demise of sitting MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy of TDP.
